An Alien Has Landed in My Backyard

One day at the midnight, when I am going to sleep, I heard some weird sound form outside my window, curiosity make me wake up to see what happened in my backyard. Because I have a bit scare so I tiptoed to the backyard. I didn’t expect what I saw it and this will forever change my life forever. Under the dim moonlight, I saw the things I’ve never seen before, and I don’t know where I got the courage to check it out. I saw a small circle thing with metal colour and on the top of this circle things is transparent half sphere and inside this half sphere I saw a creature I have never seen before. Its skin shimmered like liquid silver, and it’s also had a big translucent eye. It had four elongated fingers on each hand, and surround the slender body have some aura of soft blue light, it looks like it sending the SOS signal to its partner. At that time, I thought this must be the aliens I saw in the movie.

As I move a bit closer, the alien suddenly turn to me, raising some kind of weapon. A series of strange noises come out, like it trying to warn me about something. My body freeze up, and without thinking, my hands go up. I take a small step back, feeling my heart pounding hard. I don’t mean any harm, but I don’t know how to make it understand. I wasn’t here to hurt it—I just didn’t know how to show tha. I was already scared to tears at that time. But across a few second, I also notice that the alien also has the tears inside its eye. After a moment, it seemed to sense my fear, so the alien lowered the weapon and keep observe me. Then, unexpectedly, it reached out the finger and slowly touch my forehead. I am stunning there and I feel a warm spread from its finger, and then my mind was flooded with images, I saw the stars damaged alien’s UFO and the UFO fall to my backyard, it seems like an accident and the alien try to getting help from its partner. After seeing what thing were going on, the alien tries to get help from me. It communicated with me with thoughts and emotions.

But in my position, I know I need to decide how to help the alien, and I can’t call the police, because if the government know the alien at my backyard, they might take it away for study as a threat. But after the communication with alien, I know it just want to back to its home. So, I brought it into the house, and prepare some food to it, but it does not eat the food I prepared, it takes out crystal in its hand and absorbed the energy. Over the next few days, I kept the alien hidden in my room, making sure no one found out. It was cautious at first, but slowly, we started to understand each other. Even without words, I knew it was stranded here, desperate to go home.

I couldn’t call for help. If the authorities found out, they would take it away. The alien showed me a vision of an open field, a quiet place where it could send a stronger signal. I knew the place well—it was on the edge of town, rarely visited.

That night, I helped it disguise itself with an old hoodie and scarf. It looked strange, but it was the best I could do. We moved carefully through the dark streets, my heart racing with every little noise. Somehow, we reached the field without being seen. It held up the glowing crystal, sending signals into the sky. Everything seemed to be working until footsteps echoed nearby. A group of joggers was passing along the road. I gestured quickly, and the alien dimmed the light just in time. The joggers didn’t notice and kept going.

A few moments later, the sky shimmered. A metallic ship appeared, lowering a soft blue beam the alien look at me, its big eye full of something I can’t quite explain. Then, slowly, it reaches out and touch my forehead one last time. A strange feeling rush through me—thankfulness, relief… and a quiet goodbye. Before I can even react, it turns away and step into the soft blue light. In an instant, it was gone, taken up into the ship. The sky goes back to normal, like nothing ever happen. Everything around me so quiet. I just stand there, staring at the stars, knowing no one would ever believe what I just saw. But I knew the truth. Somewhere out there, beyond the sky, was a friend I would never forget.
